Atlanta Motor Speedway, yesterday’s race was great, 325 glorious laps, or pure adrenaline. I actually was able to stay awake during the whole entire race. Carl Edwards took first, Jimmie Johnson, battled most of the day, and came back and finished 2nd.
Dave Blaney (22) got loose and caused a pile up ending the race for a few drivers.
Juan Pablo Montoya (42) had a really great day, and got side swiped in the pits by Clint Bowyer (07) around lap 299. Totally ruined his day, and then he was caught up in the Dave Blaney pile up.
Jimmie Johnson, had chose to pit for fresh tires at the end, and made his come back. Three more races left to go in the chase, with Johnson having a pretty decent lead for a possible three peat. This I’ve got to see, for the fact that not many sports can three peat.
Most of the Hendrick cars finished in the top ten, Jr. finished 11th, he had been up front all day long. He car just wasn’t right most of the day.
The truck race was pretty awesome, Ryan Newman made his first start in the truck, driving for Kevin Harvick Inc, and Ron Hornaday finished 2nd, so Harvick’s team a one two finish, which puts Hornaday back closer to the points, that he follows Johnny Benson who now has the lead.
The boys are at Texas Motor Speedway this weekend coming up. I’d love to go, I would really like to see them, but unfortunately, I have a race that weekend myself, except mine is on foot.
